Wish List | A/W 2020

November 27, 2020

Hi, friends! And welcome to my first ever wish list post! Today I’m sharing a few things that I have my eye on, that will hopefully also serve as potential inspiration for your own wish lists heading into the holiday season!

Sheets

I haven’t gotten new sheets since I moved to college, and those… aren’t the comfiest after three years of being laundered in a dorm. Besides, my dorm days are over! *celebrates* What says “can’t wait to continue to live in my parent’s house for the foreseeable future” like new fancy sheets for my twin bed in the room I share with my younger sister? Please comment below.

An ODK Sweatshirt

My Circle didn’t get to order our letters last semester because of the pandemic, and I had been really looking forward to repping ODK! Nevertheless, now that I can wear letters I want an ODK sweatshirt that will last.

Photography Lightbox

I’ve wanted a lightbox for a few years now and think it would definitely help level up my indoor photo game! After doing some research, I think this one would be best because it’s affordable and 24 in x 24 in, whereas most I found were twice the price and half the size.

Photo Backdrop Stand

As much as I’d love to be able to put this set up in my bedroom, I think I’ll have to settle for the garage. But I am in love with the idea of having a proper background for photos!

A couple of studio backdrops to go with it in neutral, solid colors would be nice too!

Flat Lay Backgrounds

There are a couple of multipacks of flat lay backgrounds that I have my eye on!

Left to Right: Marble and Concrete Pack, Solid Colors

Acrylic Necklace Organizer/Storage

Okay, so at first, I thought I wanted a 12 necklace organizer, because while I know I have more than 12 necklaces, I thought it would be easier to store and use. Then I read the reviews and learned that the 12 necklace organizer is opened by lifting the lid off and pulling the whole thing out of the box? So I think the 24 necklace one with a door is for me! But in case you want the 12 necklace one, I’m including a link for you below.

Left to Right: 12 Hook Necklace Case, 24 Hook Necklace Case

Books:

For the first time in ages, this one gets its own category. My parents were probably having flashbacks to when all I would ask for was Barnes and Noble gift cards when they saw this, but hey, what are they going to tell me? Don’t read? Yeah, right.

I do a lot of my reading and audiobook listening on Scribd and Audible, but those have limited selections and there are some books I just want to have hard copies of to hold on to, reference, and have on my bookshelf when I eventually have my own workspace. These are the books I am asking for this holiday season!

Left to Right: Sitting Pretty by Rebekah Taussig, How I Built This by Guy Raz, One Life by Megan Rapinoe

On a slightly different note, Astrology for Real Life is supposed to be a book/workbook sort of combo and I’m into it. I’ve been listening to more educational content about the deeper nuances of astrology and just having fun with it. We should ask for fun things, right? I’d love to learn more about my own chart and it seems like this would help with that too.

Smaller things:

Stamps!

As a lover of snail mail, I can never find enough stamps. So naturally, I’ve decided that asking for stamps for Christmas will give me my own personal supply.

The Body Shop Products

Last year was my first year shopping in The Body Shop. I went with my sister on Black Friday and safe to say, we did some damage. I didn’t want to leave! I didn’t get the hype around bath bombs until I tried the small ones in The Body Shop’s Christmas Range last year, and I love them. They were only a dollar last Black Friday so I’m hoping they’ll be on sale again this season and I may find some in my stocking!

So far, this is the only one I’ve found on the website, but I really hope they come out with a couple more soon!

The Body Shop Pear Bath Blend

After spending some time looking for bath bombs, I found bath blends! I really want to try the Pear Bath Blend. Since I’m prescribed by one of my doctors to take daily detox baths as part of my treatment, adding something like this sounds like a fun way to change things up!

amika: Soulfood Nourishing Mask

I have loved amika: for years. Their Perk Up dry shampoo was the first I ever tried and I seriously recommend it to anyone and everyone because everything else pales in comparison, in my opinion. I first purchased the Soulfood Nourishing Mask a few years ago in a Black Friday sale and the 8 oz tub lasted me two years. After a year without it, I find myself missing it. So naturally, it’s on my wish list.

Candle Wick Trimmer

My scissors regularly can be found to have black streaks on them from trying to trim candle wicks. In my opinion, it’s a problem, and life would be easier with a candle wick trimmer! I also want a candle snuffer and found this pack that comes with a candle snuffer, wick trimmer, and a wick dipper. I would love a pack in black or silver!

Scalp Massager Shampoo Brush

I saw these in a few Amazon recommendation videos and holiday hauls and thought I should try it out for myself. My scalp tends to get dry in the winter months, so I think this would be a perfect stocking stuffer. With over 18,000 reviews, I have high hopes!

Tattoo Markers

I doubt I’ll be getting a tattoo anytime soon. I don’t love needles, nor do I want to test my skin’s poor healing abilities due to EDS. Drawing on myself sounds much more fun! And much less permanent. I actually got these for my birthday in October and they’ve been so much fun to play with so far. On my super pale skin, the colors are vibrant and a doodle on my forearm will last about a week before it starts to look faded.

So while these technically aren’t on my wish list anymore, I thought I would include them anyway for your inspiration since they were on my list for most of this year!

Lav Mic

This semester I’ve been putting together more audio content for classes, and plan to do more next semester. I think having a lavalier lapel mic could be beneficial to the quality of the content I create for classes, and this one is a bestseller with over 8,000 reviews!

And that’s it for now!

If I think of anything else, I may check back and add it within the next week or so, but this is what is on my wish list this holiday season!

What are you asking for this year? Let me know in the comments below, or if this list sparked any ideas for you!
