One of my top discoveries made in spring 2020 was this simple two-ingredient granola recipe. It really is the best! At first, I was highly skeptical – how could homemade granola be that easy to make? I thought there had to be more to it.
Turns out, I was wrong. This granola is one of those recipes that you can really make your own, and it acts as a great base for whatever type of granola you want to make but tastes just as good on its own. All you need is maple syrup and rolled oats. Seriously! I like to add a touch of salt for flavor, but that step is optional.
This recipe is super easy to scale for larger and smaller portions, you can make as much as you want!
Easy Two-Ingredient Granola Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1 T maple syrup
- pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
- In a mixing bowl, stir together oats and syrup until oats are coated
- Spread mixture evenly on parchment-lined baking sheet
- Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted
- Remove from oven and allow to cool
Tips:
Alter the ratio of oats to syrup as desired, less syrup will create a drier, more crunchy and crumbly granola, while more syrup will make the final product stickier and more clumpy.
For a chewier granola, try baking at 325 degrees.
This granola can be enjoyed on its own, as a topping for a breakfast or dessert, or with other mix-ins! The possibilities are endless, and it’s a great snack on the go.
My favorite gluten-free rolled oats are from Bob’s Red Mill. Having good oats really does make a difference!
That’s all there is to it!
This truly is the best homemade granola recipe I’ve ever tried, and it’s so easy! If you try out this recipe, I’d love to hear how it goes. Enjoy!
