Hi friends! January has been a long month.
I started off the new year at home with my family, ringing in 2019 watching The Post with my dad if you want to be specific, and enjoyed the end of my winter break before heading back to my university for our winter RA training. I’m so glad I was there and got the time to work on my hall and relax before the semester began! I had a pretty decent start to the semester getting used to my new schedule, but unfortunately dealt with migraines the second week of classes that turned into migraines and laryngitis. Not fun. This third week has thus far been dedicated to resting because that’s all I have the energy for!
I saw Roxane Gay speak, I got three blood draws, and I slept for 20 1/2 hours one night (thanks migraine and wacky weather!). Here’s to a more energetic and less exhausting February.

In February I’m really looking forward to getting my voice back. But aside from that, I’m hoping to get caught up on my academics and all I’ve missed through the end of January with my migraines acting up. I really don’t want much, I’m simply hoping for peace and quiet. A snowstorm or two wouldn’t hurt, though. We’ll see what happens…
