9 Content Creators to Check Out Today

May 26, 2020

Hi friends, in this blog post I’m sharing 9 content creators to check out today! With a lot of people still staying at home and summer plans canceled, I’ve noticed a reemerging trend of people (mostly students) saying they’re bored and looking for entertainment, having already exhausted the options on Netflix and across the internet. Or so they thought. Friends, so many content creators stepped up their game over the past couple of months!

While my workload significantly increased back at the end of March and was steady through the end of my semester, it is now summer which means I am back and sharing more content too! This post was originally supposed to go live at the end of March (oops) but there was a technical problem. However, I think it’s always a good time to check out more creators and fill your life with more that you enjoy. There is so much content out there just waiting for you to discover it! Personally, I have been really enjoying diving back into my favorite blogs that I didn’t keep up with as much during my finals, reading and commenting and catching up with everyone! I’ve also been finding so many new people to follow during this time. I want to bring that fun discovery experience to you!

I’m so happy to be back and reading blogs again, so I figured why not share with you some of my old favorites? Now is the perfect time to discover new favorites and engage with bloggers and other content creators.

This post is all about 9 content creators to check out today!

Julia Amodeo

Julia, formerly of Julia Does, has rebranded her site and it is beautiful if I do say so myself. I’ve just been talking to Julia recently and she has so much planned for her blogs this summer! Julia writes about sustainability, mental health, and her college experience as an Environmental Studies major. She does the coolest stuff for her classes! I cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve, and I highly suggest following along so you don’t miss a thing.

Style and Sushi

Laura was one of the first bloggers I followed – all the way back in 2012! She is a personal style blogger who also shares bits about her life in the Netherlands, her favorite products, travels, and recipes from time to time. Her style tends to be more minimalist, as it has evolved. She is well-spoken and has a class that is timeless. Laura recently shared on Instagram that after a bit of a break from blogging as COVID-19 hit the Netherlands, she is back to creating content. I cannot wait to see what she has in store!

Little Miss Expat

Little Miss Expat is written by a British expat living in Dubai. Her blog posts always give a new perspective and tell stories I probably never would have come into contact with if I hadn’t followed her, while still reflecting the universal struggles of being a teen and a student. Her wisdom is beyond her years, her photography is beautiful, there is nothing bad to say about her. Go check her out!

Styled by McKenz

McKenzie is a college fashion blogger and weekly vlogger studying fashion merchandising. She is the very definition of high-energy and always on the go. I had the opportunity to meet McKenzie this past January and she is such a sweet and hardworking girl. She puts her heart and soul into her blog and it is so cool to watch it pay off. If you like long vlogs, her videos are for you!

Coco Day

I love Coco’s editing style. Her content ranges in subject, from thrifting videos to commentary on pop culture, from music to workouts, and beyond. Her videos are engaging, she uses a lot of fun colors (we love anyone who isn’t afraid of some color!), and if it weren’t for Coco, I wouldn’t have learned about Chloe Ting! Thanks to Coco, one of my best friends and I started doing some of the Chloe Ting workouts back in December. Even if you don’t go all out, they definitely work!

(Side note, if you’re looking for a new workout regimen or some exercise ideas, check out Chloe Ting!)

Isabella LoRe

Isabella just finished her first year at Mount Holyoke and while technically she isn’t an old favorite (I’ve only found her at the start of this year), she is putting out a ton of content right now and there’s something about her videos that I tend to really enjoy. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but if I figure it out, I’ll let you know. Her content is mainly in the college lifestyle category!

Beauty Spectrum

Molly is a YouTuber who spent 6 weeks in Australia and vlogged it before the pandemic really amped up at the start of the year. She’s just finished releasing her Australia vlogs last month (there are twelve), and if you’re having some wanderlust at the moment I highly recommend checking them out! They’re beautifully done. Perfect if you want to escape for a while!

Julija

Julija is a booktuber from Vienna who just finished her degree in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies a few months ago. She has been doing book hauls, read with me’s, and hosting virtual book clubs lately, so if you’re looking for something new to read, she has a ton of recommendations! I also love her travel videos. They never disappoint!

Hannah Likes Science

Hannah is a student at Dartmouth, who shares her experience studying engineering and a peek into life at an Ivy. She makes both vlogs and sit down videos, and recently shared her siblings’ college decisions! Hannah is really candid about day to day college life, which is both insightful and relatable.
