Friends, I’m about to begin my fifth semester. As such, it’s only right for me to come over to my little corner of the internet and share with you the goals I have for this fifth semester of mine! Sharing my semester goals is one of my favorite posts each semester, so let’s get started!
What are my goals this semester?
- Publish 15 blog posts
- Change all of my bulletin boards on time
- Keep my room decorated and festive
- Meet with all of my residents within the first two weeks of classes
- Get food with a friend at least twice a month
- Keep sleep a priority
- Maintain as much of a morning routine as possible
- Put all of my programming events for my role as an RA into the calendar before the day they are due

Changes for This Semester…
You may notice that unlike previous semesters, I have no notes to “attend x amount of sporting events” or anything similar. Why? Because I’ve been there, I’ve tried that, and unfortunately, sporting events tend to be incredibly inaccessible at my university. They’re hard to get to, the student sections are inaccessible, they’re far from campus, require dealing with and being in the center of rowdy crowds to get on a bus back to campus – the list goes on. But the bottom line is, I’m okay with not attending any games this semester. That’s not a goal for me and that’s okay.
I would absolutely love to get all of my nights on duty over within the beginning of the semester like I did last semester, but I realize that may not be the most realistic idea. I’ll see what I can manage!
I’m excited to be paying more attention to my room and decorating it because that is something I have realized I miss over the past two years. Especially as I’ll be living in the same room as I did last year, I want to make things feel different. When semesters can feel like a blur and it becomes hard to differentiate one week from another, I at least want my surroundings to evolve.
My fall semester goals feel fairly straightforward this time around.
And hopefully, that means they’ll be attainable. I know I wasn’t on top of blogging over the summer months and things really got away from me. While I know this semester will be busy, I do hope that I am able to eventually figure things out and create a schedule that not only works for me but allows me to incorporate blogging into my day! We’ll see how that goes.
