3 Podcasts I am Loving Right Now

September 30, 2018

Hey friends! Happy.. well it is currently Friday, but this is being posted on a Sunday, so happy Sunday!

Sunday, September 30th is international podcast day, and as a huge fan of podcasts, I thought I would share with you three podcasts I have been listening to and loving the most this month. One of these I have been a huge fan of for years, and one I have only just started listening to mid-month. The other is nestled nicely in between the two, but there’s so much good in all three. I love them, each for their own reasons. Which we’ll get into later…

Which three podcasts am I loving right now?

In no particular order…

  • The Real Female Entrepreneur Podcast by Lauren Fronteira
  • Thick and Thin by Katy Bellotte
  • Nerdette by Tricia Bobeda and Greta Johnsen

They rock. All three of these are great. While no, not everything is for everyone (and these three definitely weren’t created or aimed to please everyone), I highly recommend checking them out if any of them sound intriguing to you!

The Real Female Entrepreneur Podcast by Lauren Frontiera

If you follow me on Instagram (which I highly recommend because I love sharing on that platform – especially on stories), you’ve most likely heard me share about Lauren Frontiera. Spoiler alert: she’s amazing. And her podcast, The Real Female Entrepreneur Podcast, is incredible. She shares interviews with female identifying entrepreneurs from around the world featuring conversations about life, business, and how the two intersect. I actually stopped listening over the last few weeks of the summer just to save up episodes for when I came back to school, because I love listening to them while I am out on my morning walks or on my way to class.

Also, Lauren starts every episode by saying “Hello, you amazing human beings.” That’s a pretty great way to start your day, as far as I’m concerned. Highly recommend.

Typical Episode Length: 45 minutes to an hour

3 Podcasts I am Loving this Month during my downtime at college

Thick and Thin by Katy Bellotte

I follow Katy on both YouTube and Instagram, and was intrigued when she started a podcast, but didn’t really make time to listen to it. I just started listening mid-September, and I am so happy that I did! This podcast is just generally about Katy’s post-grad life in New York City, and feels like a conversation with a friend. I also find her voice to be pretty calming and it feels like something I could study to. Take that for what you will. Overall, I definitely recommend this podcast to my fellow college/university students! Low key and refreshing feel like a good way to describe Thick and Thin.

Typical Episode Length: 45 minutes

Nerdette by Tricia Bobeda and Greta Johnsen

Nerdette is something I listened to on and off since the start of my first year of college, when I began consuming a lot more audio content. Since the start of this semester I’ve been loving Nerdette, listening to the newest episodes and then going back and just binge-listening to older episodes. I love that the episodes are short and easy to digest. They feature incredible guests, and dive deep into a multitude of topics that I find fascinating. I have learned so much about so many topics I never would have known existed otherwise, simply from listening to this podcast. Every episode is different. At the end, they tell you to do your homework (always a good reminder) and give a sort of “assignment” related to the episode. Isn’t that so cool?

Typical Episode Length: 20-30 minutes

There you have it. Three podcasts that I have been loving this month, in honor of International Podcast Day.

Do you love podcasts? Have a favorite? Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for something new to listen to and I’d love to chat.

Happy Sunday, friends. Enjoy today. Maybe listen to a podcast.
