Well, on the twelfth of June I know I’m behind on things, but I woke up this morning determined to get this post up. It doesn’t feel right to miss two monthly holidays posts in a row – I still can’t believe I missed the first! But we’ll start with a debrief on April and then go into May, and maybe you’ll see why the blog has been a bit sparse lately.
April
In April I finished up my classes after a long semester and I can’t say I was feeling my best. In fact, I was pretty far from it. I didn’t end up going to the end of year concert as I decided it wouldn’t be the best place for me and I had all sorts of appointments pulling me away from campus throughout the month too. I was honestly so happy when classes ended at the end of the month, but that only threw me into May and a rough finals week.
On the upside, I published my first YouTube video in April after receiving the Spring InfluenceHer Essentials Kit and teaming up with the InfluenceHer Collective. I’ve heard you guys loud and clear and yes, there will be more videos coming this summer! I have content I need to finish editing and put up that I’m excited to share with you, it just takes me a bit longer than most people to get things done. Limited energy doesn’t make video editing easy! More on that later, but actually getting the ball rolling with video content creation and getting to collaborate with the awesome brands involved with the Spring Kit were total highlights of a very stressful April.
May
May began with finals and if you follow me on Instagram you saw my late nights turning in assignments, completing exams, writing papers, and studying like there was no tomorrow. By the time I completed my exams, I was exhausted. But there was no rest for the weary, as I had to help close down the residence halls in my area.
I went home for Mother’s Day and spent the next week popping between my university and home getting things packed and moved and fulfilling my end of year duties as a resident assistant. Thankfully, by the 18th I was done for good and came home following senior closing. I haven’t technically been home for a month yet, but to finish off May I spent my days relaxing, spending time outside, and playing Sudoku. I even got to dogsit over Labor Day Weekend, which was nice. It truly started to feel like summer.
June
This month I’m taking a couple of online classes and they are no joke. I’m looking forward to being done with those and shifting my full focus to me and my health as I start some new treatments this month. I’ll talk a bit more about that in another post coming soon!
There is seriously so much content that I have in the works and cannot wait to share with you, the only things slowing me down right now are the workload of my online classes and the fact that my health is not fab. I’m trying, but it’s slow going. So fingers crossed that I’ll either cut a break and be able to whip through a ton of coursework and switch focus or just generally start feeling better and be able to spend more energy on Patience and Pajamas soon!
